The Asset Management Occupation Specific Capability Set consists of 3 capabilities that, in addition to the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework, defines the knowledge, skills and abilities for roles within the Asset Management profession.
Asset Management Capability Set
How to use the Asset Management Occupation Specific capability set
The Asset Management Capabilities work in conjunction with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework to support the full range of workforce management and development activities, including:
- role design and description
- recruitment
- performance management
- learning and development, and
- strategic workforce planning.
The behavioural indicators are not exhaustive, but describe the types of behaviours, knowledge or actions that suggest effective performance at each capability level.
They are meant to be applied flexibly and be contextualised to the role.
For more information on how to apply capabilities in workforce management, please see the Capability Framework User Guides.
Qualifications and other role requirements
The NSW Capability Framework and the Asset Management Capability Set describe behaviours, but do not specify qualifications.
If a qualification or professional membership is an essential requirement for the role, this remains as a pre-requisite for employment.
